How does FOLKs offend?

I said I thought it was patronising. That's not the same as offensive.

On the contrary.
I asked a SAX question and expected some ribbing but truly did get many
SAX answers
and a good education by respectable musicians and even horn makers.
To the fellow that needs trimming.... forget it.
It won't happen.
The content of the response may be one sentence while the content of the

question may be just as important to pass into the next giration of the
message and some of us use the content SENT as the archive of the
response
to that question.
IF you do need the digest then you'll have to put up with it.
But whats this about FOLKs?
How does FOLKs offend?
I could understand if someone said OLD FARTS but not FOLKs.
How about OLD MAN, in ham radio we reply FB OM in morse code and that
means Fine Business Old Man and
this is strictly used as an endearment..... nothing bad about being
called and OM in morse code.
Many people are put off by crumby email habits.
I for one always hated the way people stop using punctuation and capital

letters.
It shows a certain amount of laziness and disrespect for who you are
sending an email to.
I have impaired vision and have to guess at much of what I do see so
missing capital letters makes
it harder for me to read email.
I've been told that my emails are incomplete because I don't sign my
emails with my name , rank and title
or affiliations.
I don't sign my emails because my name is accurately always in my email
address. So there's nothing anonymous
about me and my phone numbers are even listed. Unlike some folks that
sling about email with no trace of where they came from in the real
world and hide behind acronyms and hotmail accounts.
