Subj: [kl] Music Stores in Munich, Germany
Date: Mon, 05 Dec 2005 14:57:12 -0500

Hello all,

My wife and I will be spending Christmas in Munich this year and I
wanted to find out if anyone on the list could suggest some music stores
in or around Munich. I am mainly wanting to purchase some sheet music
and reeds.

I found an incredible store for Classical Music CD's on my last trip.
The top floor of Ludwig Beck (a department type store) is just amazing.
I was told by one of the girls that worked there that they have the
largest collection of classical music in Germany outside of Berlin. The
store is right on the Marienplatz across from the Rauthauss and within
walking distance to most major attractions. If anyone plans on visiting
Munich, I highly recommend taking a look at their collection. They let
you listen to anything you want before you buy. They also specialize if
jazz CD's and have a ton. Warning to husbands/boyfriends, this store
caters to women and is a very high end (expensive) store, so keep this
in mind if you go there with your wife/girlfriend. You may have to drag
her out of the store.

If any list members will be in or around Munich, please let me know and
maybe we can get together for a beer and some wurst.

Tom Henson
