You may not be aware that WebTV, which is owned by Microsoft, will give
you an MSN.COM account (for your 'real' computer, either PC or Mac) for
free if you remain a WebTV subscriber.

!!! Guffaw !!! From experience, I promise you that they can get messed
up also !!! I'm not advocating that either brand of machine is better,
but I *assure* you that each brand has its own special problems.
