First of all, keep a positive attitude--all is more likely to go well than
badly.
I sympathize with your concerns; a few years ago I had some rapidly growing
unidentified infection that made quite a mess of my lower right arm, and I was
sure I'd never be able to support a clarinet again, but with time and patience
all tuurned out OK.
I see by your email address that you are a Shaw subscriber in Canada. If that
should be in Southern Ontario, I wonder if the music medicine clinic is still
in operation at McMaster U? They might have some insights for you and your
physician.
