Only by modern concepts of spelling-pronunciation relationships. You
have no idea how it would have been interpreted in Mozart's day.
Consider the following:

'A, my dere, a, my dere Son,'
Seyd Mary, 'A, my dere;
my dere, a, my dere Son,'
Kys thy moder, Jhesu,
Kys thy moder, Jhesu,
With a lawghyng chere.'

... from The Fayrfax Carol. How do you pronounce that? Are our modern
phonetic/spelling relationships appropriate for this? ;-)
