Poor woman. Playing basset horn and losing her position has
resulted in a complete failure of spelling. A tragic case.

Here's a sad story about Mary Beth Malek, who won a clarinet
position in
the Pittsburgh Ballet Orchestra, only to be put out of work
before she
even began when they switched to prerecorded music.

Toward the end of the story, she talks about playing "Mozart's
Granpastita" -- I suppose the Italian version, rolled out thin
and cut
into various shapes -- oboes, clarinets, basset horns, bassoons,
horns
and contrabassoon (oops, double bass).
