For clarinetists in California or just passing through:

I will be holding another clarinet masterclass on November 12, from 5 to
8:30 pm, at the Altadena Community Church in the foothills above Pasadena.
The focus of the evening will be solo literature with piano. The program is
full, but audience tickets are available for $10 by writing to me. (No
tickets sold at door; prior registration only.)

You are invited to hear these fine players perform in a supportive
environment for a small audience of peers:

Wayne Thompson--Weber Concerto #1, slow movement
Sarkis Hardy--Hindemith Sonata, first movement
Joel Kabakoff--Brahms Sonata Op. 120, #2, first movement
Kristi van Kopp--Malcolm Arnold Sonata, mvts 1 and 2
Don Gross--Bernstein Sonata, mvt.1
Lori Musicant---Castelnuovo-Tedesco Sonata, first movement

At the piano will be my frequent recital collaborator, Twyla Meyer.
It should be a fun evening. Afterward a group of us will be going out for
pizza (what else?)
