"Low Pitch" is only descriptive as compared to the A = 452 standard of
"High Pitch" and came into use ONLY to make that very distinction. It is
not really "low" at all, and indeed, is higher than the old A = 435
continental pitch. And, of course, it is low compared to what many
orchestras, especially European and Japanese ones, are climbing up to
lately. Personally, I am all for a return to the sanity of a standard
concert pitch, and A = 440 is as good as any and better than most,
especially since it has history. But how are you going to make these fools
conform?

If you have to mic a saxophone, the rest of the band is TOO LOUD!
