Incidentally, I always wondered why nobody plays that part on a d-clarinet,
preferably à la Denner. This instrument existed in Bachs time though
somewhat of a novelty, and sounds of cause MUCH better than a recorder.
Would anybody please try this and save that piece (which I have to avoid
because I just can't stand the sound and out of tune playing of a recorder)
for me? Or has it been done?
