I have a Selmer BT (Serial Number M5452) that belonged to my father-in-law
who played it in the Purdue marching band before he served in WWII.

Before he died, he gave it to my son who dabbled in the clarinet briefly. My
son is now playing bassoon in a local university and wants to get a good
quality instrument. So, we have decided to sell the BT and use the proceeds
to buy as good a bassoon as possible.

I'm looking for opinions on how to go about discovering the clarinet's value
and selling it wisely?
