My rule of thumb: Never trust anyone named Princess.

I get a lot of Nigerian scam emails (so-called 419 emails). I don't
know why. I just made their list somehow. I also forward them (with
all header information) to abuse@ their provider name, in this case
Yahoo, which does a damned fine job of squashing the account. Some of
the more obscure email providers don't react as quickly. But you can
get their email address shut down. I imagine these people are having
to get new email address every other day because of people like me. I
also indicate that I have "notified federal authorities" which isn't
usually a lie, but I think it helps get their attention.

For Nigerian scam emails, you can also forward them to
419.fcd@-----.gov which is a government agency which handles such
complaints, although I've never gotten any response back from that, so
I don't know how useful it is to do that.
