After posting my Opus A on woodwind.org classifieds I received around 15
scam offers in a matter of hours to days.

The thing to look for in addition to the overpayment/refund difference are
offers using private shippers. What happens is that someone shows up at
your door with a bogus bank check or MO and to pick up the
instrument. You'll probably also notice that most of them have stilted
English. Many want additional pictures which I imagine they use to try and
scam buyers.
