"Rabid" is not my idea of a factual explanation.

So being in a magnanimous mood (so far this morning en route to the
dentist), I accept your half-hearted ("perhaps apologize") apology.

Also, I can't speak for anyone but myself, but many people of all political
stripes are interested in the arts and public television. But let's get
real. Much of what has been brought to our faces in the name of art is crap
and some don't appreciate spending their TAX money for it, especially if it
rubs them the wrong way politically. If it was all concerts and
middle-of-the-road political commentary or somewhat equal time balanced
between left and right (which it isn't), these same people ("The Rabid
Ones!") would not complain and would enjoy Lawrence Welk reruns with the
rest of you. :-)
