There's an Ute Lemper performance of "Threepenny Opera" on a Decca stereo
CD, Decca 289 430 075-2. John Mauceri conducts the RIAS Berlin
Sinfionietta and Marcus Creed conducts the RIAS Kammerchoir. The singers
perform in German, under the original title of "Die Dreigroschenoper," but
the excellent booklet has the libretto with Bertold Brecht's German with an
English translation by Elisabeth Hauptmann in parallel columns. The
booklet includes a list of the orchestra musicians. Peter Heubeck plays
clarinet 1. Joachim Welz plays clarinet 2 and bass clarinet.
