I'm on the wrong side of the Atlantic Ocean, alas, but wow, I wish I could
hear this program! The Mendelssohn concert pieces don't seem to appear on
many concert programs here in the USA and I like them a lot. Not sure if
"beak a reed" is an appropriate thing to say in Europe, but over here, it's
a way of wishing good luck without evoking a jinx by explicitly wishing you
good luck....
