Nobody has mentioned it, so I will. Sterisol (available at many music
stores with a repair shop) is a proven germicide for rubber mouthpieces.

As for developing antibodies to viruses (if this is what you truly
have), if you're still sick, then your antibodies aren't up to the job
of killing the virus. But many disinfectants aren't up to killing
viruses either.
