At least in theory, you should not be able to reinfect yourself with a
virus once you have already produced antibodies for it. That is how
vaccinations work. On the other hand, the infection could be BACTERIAL,
not viral, and then all bets are off. In that case, the suggestions of
alcohol, peroxide, Listerine, etc., should work. Do the mouthpiece as well
as the reed.
