I've been in contact with a couple friends who play with the Dukes of
Dixieland. Their group is all safe and is even scheduled to play in West
Virginia this weekend. However their long-running gig on the steamboat
Natchez is over for the time being. I don't know the status of the boat.

Pete Fountain and his wife were listed as missing in the 9/1 edition of the
local New Orleans Times Picayune newspaper (current available online at
www.nola.com). The band has not heard anything further on Pete and the paper
has listed nothing more recent.
