I use an Eb mouthpiece made by Roger Garrett, a former list member and
clarinet professor at Illinois Wesleyan University. I think it was made on
a Zinner blank. It sounds MUCH better than the Vandoren that came with the
horn, very "clarinet-like" throughout the range and not at all shrill and
nasal at the top. I use cut-down reeds on it and they fit well.

Disclaimer: I have no financial ties to Roger whatsoever, but I like his
mouthpiece. I also had him reface a bass mouthpiece for me.

If you have to mic a saxophone, the rest of the band is TOO LOUD!
