Subj: [kl] problem in Finale
Date: Sat, 10 Sep 2005 04:23:28 -0400

I am using Finale as a music notation program. My most recent composition
(don't think I consider myself a composer, however: I write music strictly
for the fun of it), a fairy tale about an emu, had an accident:

Unwisely I tried to optimize the original composition, not a copy of it.
Something went wrong: I heard music played by instruments whose staves where
empty, and thus not in the optimized score, upon playback. Texts were in
other places, and so on.

Thus I tried to de-optimize the composition. That gave some problems, as
well, however!

Some pages now are "too low", that is the upper stave is somewhere halfway
on the page, thus the lower staves are below the page, and are not printed.

Can someone tell me how to remedy this unfortunate phenomenon? TIA

Rien
