Sorry I didn't get to this until Sunday. We're in our mountain cabin near
Yosemite and I have only sporadic access to the Internet.
Poking around in Grove around 10 years ago I discovered the claim that
Krommer had composed 45 Partitas of which only 15 survive. A little more
poking around yielded the information that only 6 or 7 had been published
in the U.S. The Grove entry provided the information on the library which
holds the autographs of these pieces. A wonderful music librarian there
acquiesced to my request for a microfilm copy of the ones which I could not
otherwise get and over several months I sequenced all to which I had
access. I think all 15 are on my Web site, as is the Berwald, but "notes
only" (no articulation or dynamics). They can be downloaded, printed and
played at no charge. I work for money and can be talked into finishing the
Opus 76 in a timely manner and for a reasonable sum.
