I guess I'm in good company then. If I remember correctly, this same
thing happened to Sabine Meyer, only in reverse.=20

Of course I am not comparing myself to her ability, but only to her
situation that occurred in the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. So this
kind of thing can and does happen even on the highest level it seems.

ladder the orchestra stands - witness the contract disputes that erupt
in the newspapers here in U.S. cities when major (professional)
symphonies are involved.
