Kurt,

They are truly a joy, and I use them daily, usually one key at a time. (Book
3 lacks the charm, and I've not worked in Book 4 yet.)

I'd think it about time Carl Fisher or some publisher issue a new edition of
Klose. They would need to get a major name to be listed under *edited by*,
and that artist would of course have final say. But there are any number of
qualified artists/teachers who'd be capable of doing such.

I'd like to see it expanded to (maybe) twice its length, plus maybe a
supplimental book for truly advanced studies, to include Jazz, Jeanjean,
Url, etc.(As it is now, it takes you to the upper levels of intermediate, in
my opinion.)

I'd like like to see fingering suggestions such as Galper included, and
suggestions where appropriate such as Opperman included. For example, 20
Studies, Num 11. Isn't the main point the end tone on the last of the 3
16's, that it should linger just a bit and taper? I see it as primarily a
study in tonal endings, not in rapid tonguing.

I'd like to see the full Kroepsch, maybe the full Rose, and greatly expanded
scales & arpeggios, which I see as the absolute foundation of any technique
at all.

Quite a wish list. I'd think the publisher who does so, and does so well,
will make a lot of money. And imagine, most of what I've listed isn't under
copyright, so anyone could do it.
