Greetings from New Mexico (NM) Mr. Dan Leeson,

Just yesterday I was telling Mr. David Shifrin about your book.
It is true he has not read it YET but intends to soon (because I'm
going to give him one before he leaves!). He is here in NM for the
Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival and I was lucky enough to get to play
the Beethoven Octet, Op. 103 with him last night, great fun.

It has been quite a summer for clarinet fans in NM; Ricardo playing
the Brahms Quintet in SF and Mozart Quintet in Albuquerque,
Tody Levy playing the Weber Quintet, and tomorrow night
we will be treated with David Shifrin performing Barber's Summer
Music with Alan Vogel/oboe, Tara Helen O'Connor/flute,
Chris Millard/bassoon, Julie Landsman/horn.

If anyone on the list is ever contemplating visiting Santa Fe,
my advise is to come in August, WOW!

..........
A terrible lie has been circulated, namely that there are living
clarinet players who have not read my book. Knowing the love and
affection my playing brethren have for good fiction about K. 622
and K. 581, I can only presume that such a calumny was begun by a
Communist/Fascist/Right and Left wing conspiracy.
