Subj: [kl] question on trills and grace notes
Date: Fri, 12 Aug 2005 14:59:51 -0400

Hi List,

I am currently without a teacher, and so come to this resource for some
guidance.

Trills: I'm having trouble understanding the correct execution of trills on
notes of short duration. Eg,
Lazarus, Part 2, page 151;
Langenus, Part 3, p33;
Klose, p213.

Would I be correct to interpret those as a mordent?

Grace notes: Closely related are the grace notes as on Klose p 182. The
on-the-beat notes don't pose a problem but the ones on the 4rd 16 do. Would
I be correct to interpret those as: 16th, 16th, 16th, 32nd-triplet?

Thanks for the input!

Best wishes,
--Vann Joe
