You could ban the list, but it still wouldn't cover the unexpected noisy
concert accessory.
At one recital I did in a very intimate, resonant hall, a woman in the first
row was knitting!
Not at all the silent activity one thinks it is, and the rhythmic motions
were incredibly distracting.

But my personal favorite was a benefit chamber music concert at college
where a colleague was employed. The entire music appreciation class was
required to attend, and (this was in the age of cassette players), they all
brought portable recording equipment (sanctioned by the school!) resulting
in a swarm of clicking sounds just before the start of every piece.
Yes, they should have known better, but who'd a thunk it?
