Now I _do_ remember one:

Two seasons ago, a husband sitting next to me obviously didn't want to
be there. He played a video crossword game during every performance of
the season.

This falls into the same category as the lady who insisted on reading
her program with a flashlight during the performance --- after all, you
can't follow the music if you don't consult the program as you listen,
can you? The husband's video game was silent, but the screen was
bright enough to distract me no matter how hard I tried to ignore it.

My eventual solution was to close my eyes while I listened to the music,
but this is never (for me) as enjoyable as both listening and watching.

Fortunately, the fellow didn't attend (or perhaps he sat elsewhere) last
year.

....and on the matter of applauding between movements, I acknowledge the
conflict. But putting aside whether it's OK because previous
generations did so, and putting aside whether it disrupts the mood and
the connections between movements, what I find especially disturbing is
when the audience is 'fooled' and applauds during the pause just before
the final statement.... and then other people giggle while the musicians
play on, and this ruins the music's conclusion completely.
