Agreed. I should've included the word "entirely" --- which was my
primary point, Namely, that Chris appeared to me (?) headed towards
deciding based "entirely" on other people's advice.

A common response is "I don't have easy access" to an assortment of
instruments to test, and I want to buy an instrument _now_. Everyone's
situation is different, but taking it slow and making a trip to a city
where a variety of brands and models are available is worth it (imo).
