Chris,
I assume you are a student curious about your options.
Why get a full Boehm? People here will give you pros
and cons, of course, but if you don't have a reason
already, why go out of your way? 99% of the players
you run into don't have them and they do what they
need to do. The left hand Eb key by itself is a
somewhat different story. It's now commonly
available; some like it (I do) and some don't, but I
think any 'normal' player should learn to be
comfortable without it, and then learn to use it if
the opportunity comes.

If I was given a full Boehm, I'd love to play it and
learn about what it might do for me.

Probably the top reason to 'need' a full boehm is for
the low Eb it provides, and that is something you will
already know you need if you're transposing A clarinet
parts regularly.
