I found it - it's on the Santana album "Supernatural", track 2, "Love of
My Life (Featuring Dave Mathews)". It's uncanny how your mind works -
when I heard the Brahms piece on the radio, I knew I had heard it
somewhere, but I had never heard Brahms' 3rd before... But then I got
the Brahms on CD and was listening to it and trying to superimpose
different instruments on the theme, and then all of a sudden I heard
Carlos Santana style guitar and I ran to my CD rack and pulled it out
and found it rather quickly...
