It's been given the pop treatment at least a couple of times, most =
recently
with lyrics by Jeremy Sams when it was titled 'Close to Me'. It was =
recorded=20
by Jose Carreras.

Going back some years, the French composer Georges Auric together with=20
Francoise Sagan came up with a song that was called 'Quand tu dors pres =
de moi'
('When You Sleep Next to Me' in the translation by Daryl Runswick) =
which=20
followed the Brahms theme but with altered values on the notes.=20

Cheers

This isn't clarinet-specific, but has been driving me crazy for a couple =

of days. I heard the 3rd movement to Brahms' 3rd symphony on the radio, =

and I know I've heard that main theme somewhere recently, but I can't=20
place it. Was it used in any movie soundtracks?
