<<One question, Walter---glissando is a little less easy on this
mouthpiece than on my previous one, which has a longer and more open
facing. Any suggestions as to what kind of facing might improve the
gliss? It's not such a big deal but if I could get something more
gliss-friendly without sacrificing the lovely sound I get from the K11,
it'd be nice.>>

The K11, K13, and the K14 are all similar and made from the same blank, with
much of the same tonal characteristics. The K11 is the closest, the K14 the
most open, the K13 in between. Many of my jazz customers go right to the K14
and bypass my "jazz" mouthpieces. I would say the K14 would be BEST for
glisses, etc, but I do just fine on the K13.

I know this is a bit of self promotion, but you can check my website for
more info, see below.

Glad you like the mouthpiece!
