I worked with both Marin Alsop and Jo Ann Feletta, but under
different circumstances. Alsop auditioned for the job with the
SJS and Faletta was conducting a pops concert with a pickup group
from the Santa Cruz, San Jose, and San Francisco areas.

I enjoyed working with both women, found nothing negative in
either of their conducting abilities, but would have wanted more
time with Alsop to see her work in a variety of orchestra works.
