Question: Why are so few viruses written for a MAC?
Answer: They don't need one.

This was an old joke used during my days of installing
instruments in University laboratories that used MAC
exclusively. My favorite comment from a scientist at Emory
University, back in 1995, as we installed an OS/2 system to work
with a Confocal LASER scanning Microscope, was: "and what is the
second mouse button for"?

I have become convinced that computers exist for the sole reason
of keeping us from getting anything done. No matter what the
make, model, or operating system.

Having said that, I have not had many troubles since I have been
using Windows XP. Since it is a platform similar to NT which is
based upon the Old OS/2 platform, it seems to be far more stable
than the old 95/98 platform.

I imagine that the new MAC which is using a UNIX based operating
system probably works very well. However, you still end up with
the same old problem concerning applications. This is what
killed OS/2 and the reason I finally gave up on Linux. I
decided that I would rather spend more time practicing that
trying to find software packages that would integrate as well as
the Office products.

Just thought I would like to meander a little bit.
