I'm glad this was in reference to clarinet tone and not the thread about
oboe players trying to get ahead. Apparently the size (and shape?) of
the glottal opening changes tone. I hope that Tony Pay will post
pictures of his throat. Then I'll find an oral surgeon. Every doctor
who looks down my throat immediately asks what I am feeding the
tonsils. How, they ask, did I ever escape from the 1950s without having
them removed? Apparently I will have plenty to work with. .

Forget nose jobs. Soon the kids will all clamor for the Tony Pay
Glottal Opening.
