Gosh. Who are "they," all oboists or all women? *All* the oboists you've
ever met are messed up? Really? *All* of them? Including the male
oboists? I know several oboists. None of them happen to be conniving
sluts, of either the male or female persuasion, but maybe my experience of
oboists is too limited. Yours must be vast, right? Does something about
playing the oboe make women lose their morals and want to get a head?
Oops, I mean ahead?

I don't run screaming from oboists, but I do run screaming from people who
make wild, unsupported generalizations. Oddly enough, though, not all of
the wild generalizers I've met play the clarinet. Some of them don't play
anything except the dozens.
