I seem to be getting five or six of these a day, and I understand they are
being sent to music teachers of all instruments. They are a variation of the
letter that tells you (for examle) you have inherited thousands from a
deceased millionaire relative in Africa, and the technique is as Mark
Charette said.

A piano teaching friend got one that sounded legit a few months ago and got
into an extended conversation. The author of the letter purported to want to
send his three children, all beginning pianists, to live in the United
States with my friend and study piano eight hours a day for two weeks.
