First, I'd change reeds-- stronger, 3 or so -- and keep your lip "into" the
reed -- in other words, don't drop your jaw or lip while you're playing in the
upper register. The change in lip/jaw positiion may even bring the upper
register in tune better without adding equipment. But, in order to get better
sound in the upper register, plan on getting rid of a "sax lip" and putting
harder wood on the mouthpiece. If that fails, go to a better mouthpiece first,
because, if you have a standard length barrel, this should not be the problem.
If you have a trusted teacher, they can make a suggestion for a new mouthpiece.
But, definitely go to a more closed-lay mouthpiece when/if you change.
