Well, the thing is, there are so many things that could explain the
problems you have encountered *other* than the fact that you have
recently been in an aeroplane.
Better just to say, "I find that when I travel long-distance the
behaviour of my setup changes considerably"---which I think we'll all
agree on---and admit to not knowing why.
You don't have to be a physicist, but it's one of the first principles
of science---be ready to say "I don't know" or "I'm not sure" when you
don't have a full understanding of the situation. It's a principle that
works pretty well for lots of things. :-)
