Dominic - "the Doctor" sells desicants http://www.doctorsprod.com/ which
are very good and safe too.

What to also get would be one of the Rico Reed Containers which are designed
to keep the humidity IN the case, however in your case it would keep out the
excessive humidity. http://www.ricoreeds and look it up there. So you would
have something to protect your Clarinet as well as the reeds.

If you are traveling by plane, your reeds - at least the ones already broken
in - will be shot to "the Earth's core" by the time you land. The drastic
altitude change has as much warping effect on your reeds as your eardrum.

As for the humidity factor, you'll need some kind of dessicant to keep your
instrument and your reeds dry. The dark blue, plastic vandoren reed cases
come with a dessicant stuck in the middle. Here's a picture.

Dried orange peels stuck in your case will also help, although your
instrument may smell like chewable vitamin C after a few days. So, I would
recommend finding a few dessicant drying packets which will act as a counter
against the humidity.
