If you are traveling by plane, your reeds - at least the ones already broken
in - will be shot to "the Earth's core" by the time you land. The drastic
altitude change has as much warping effect on your reeds as your eardrum.

As for the humidity factor, you'll need some kind of dessicant to keep your
instrument and your reeds dry. The dark blue, plastic vandoren reed cases
come with a dessicant stuck in the middle. Here's a picture.

Dried orange peels stuck in your case will also help, although your
instrument may smell like chewable vitamin C after a few days. So, I would
recommend finding a few dessicant drying packets which will act as a counter
against the humidity.
