The only Lyons in the New Langwill index is the Lyons Musical Instrument Co,
based in Chicago from 1930 - 1950. They are listed as dealers and repairers.
Thus, it is likely to be an import from a lesser French manufacturer. There
is another advertised at item number: 7332711298. It looks OK, but is billed
as a student clarinet, which I think likely. I can't tell if it is wood or
plastic. It will probably work OK after an overhaul, but for any clarinet on
ebay you should factor in $100 - $200 for making it work well, unless you
can do this yourself.
I am not against ebay purchases at all - I have bought several there. I
wouldn't trust the word "vintage" though.
