I think there is a danger here that people don't know who Sarah Elbaz is.

She has organised the Israel 'Clarinet Days' for several years, as well
as many concerts for young (and older) players in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.
Last year, I participated in the Clarinet Days myself, alongside Sabine and
Wolfgang Meyer and Reiner Wehle.

She is an excellent player herself -- I have a couple of her discs -- and she
is an indefatigable teacher, tireless in her support for her students and
other musicians.

I agree with her about many plastic clarinets -- and even if my experience in
England were different from hers, it might well be the same were I to live in
Israel myself.
