Pat, it was a basset clarinet he shoved up my nose. You couldn't
do it with a basset horn (as you said) because of the curved
bell!!

Well! Now that LC has stuck his basset horn up your nose, that
REALLY
does give you leave to put him somewhere in your next novel!
That's the
least he can do for you - and not even expect any royalties for
the use
of his REAL name! I mean, really, "assault and battery with
basset horn"!

And he thought he could get away with giving you just a basset
horn, and
a cheap record deal! The NOIVE!
