Walter is being nice to me because I had a nice young couple come
to my table to buy my book. We chatted for a while and the
husband told me he had bought two basset horns, one for himself,
and the other for his wife. But he also said that he was having
difficulties getting a good alto clarinet mouthpiece. I then
inquired if he had a bought LeBlanc or a Buffet, and he indicated
that the purchase was a pair of LeBlancs.

Before 30 milliseconds passed, I brought him over the Walter's
table because he had shown me a new kind of alto clarinet he made
that was not a big clunker. He sold one to the couple and would
probably have sold a second if he had had one in stock. Moral:
make two of everthing!!

The activity around his table was at times ferciously busy. Show
a clarinetist a lot of mouthpieces and they gravitate to them
like a cat to catnip.

I KNEW I would forget something.

I also had the pleasure of meeting Dan Leeson in person. Since
we were in
the same vendor room, he with is book, me with my mouthpieces, we
were able to
have several really nice discussions. I had a great time chatting
with him.
His enthusiasm and zest for life is so incredible.

Dan, it was a pleasure meeting you. OK, now let's ARGUE! LOL!
