With those players it is sure to be a fine performance, but recognize that
the work they are doing has been removed from the body of Mozart's music and
placed in an appendix for compositions of questionable authenticity. While
Mozart did write a concerto for orchestra and wind quartet, that was not the
work that is being done tonight under his name.

For those of you in Oklahoma, the OK Mozart festival in Bartlesville (about
a hour north of Tulsa) will be having a great performance tonight that will
feature some fantastic clarinet playing. At their annual Woolaroc concert,
there will be a performance of the Mozart Sinfonia concertante for woodwind
quartet and orchestra. Capriccio Espagnol amongst other things is also on
the concert.

The orchestra is the Solisti Orchestra of New York is the orchesta. They
are comprised of some of the top freelance players from the New York area.
The soloists on the Mozart are Stephen Williamson (the new principal
clarinet of the Met), Diane Lesser, oboe, Charles McCracken, bassoon and
David Smith, horn.
