I have been listening to XM for the last year (our
local classical station is now an AM station that I
lose everynight when the sun goes down). I have been
very happy with my decision. XM has three classical
stations - one (XM classics) plays full length
concerts, symphonies, etc.., VOX plays the range of
classical vocal music, including full length operas,
and XM Pops plays primarily the "hits" of classical
music, almost always one movement only.

The signal quality is excellent. My car does not have
a tape player and is not "hard-wired" for it, so I
have to use the wireless input, which is generally
good, but frustrating as I drive through different
areas and have to find a "blank" frequency
periodically. If I'm listening through headphones or
through the speakers on my stereo, it is always
excellent.

Odd side note: The company that bought our classical
station and several other radio stations began running
ads against satellite radio - among their claims were
assertions that there was no local programming
(changing, but still true - what was fascinating is
that this company had dumped most of the local
classical programming and were taking a feed from
Washington and airing that for 20 hours of the day);
and that you frequently lose the signal (not my
experience, but hey, I lose the AM station every
night).

Overall, I've been very pleased, especially since
moving to the "MyXM" unit, which is the "all-in-one"
unit that looks like a regular radio.
