There are two display rooms for the various things being sold at the Norman
meeting, and I'm right next to the Buffet display with lots of people I know
opposite me and to my right. Buffet must have put up 60 clarinets of which
40 were R13s, and 6 were the new model with the low F extra key, the name
for which went right out of my head. But not 10 minutes after those 6
instrument were put up, 3 were sold to early comers at the meeting. Dave
McClune is opposite me most of the stuff I see is the kind of thing with
which I am quite unfamiliar. One guy has nothing be bells, very strangely
shaped. I don't suggest that they are poor, only peculiar from my point of
view.

Everything starts tomorrow morning and I'll keep you informed.
