Caleb, wood instruments are neither easier nor more difficult to play.
Wood instruments are generally more expensive, but nevertheless a good
plastic clarinet can cost more than a junky wood clarinet.
The _one exception_ is if you are comparing a child's clarinet, such as
a Lyons clarinet or a Kinder clarinet in "C". But children's clarinets
are "easier" because they have fewer keys that are positioned closer to
each other (for the sake of a child's smaller hand). It has nothing to
do with plastic vs. wood.
