Thanks for eveyone's comments.
I have come home to find my housemates away and need to articulate some
exitement. I played 2nd clary today in Mendelssohns 4th. It was amazing. I
don't think i have ever been so happy playing as i was in today's HUGE
orchestra. Of course you are all old hands at symphony playing but i bet
there are loads of you that share my enthusiasm for such a powerful thing.
Yes the last movement was a bit of a challenge, especially at the end of the
day when we played concert tempo! But it was manageable as i found a copy
and played through the fiddly bits (lots of left C's!) before i went. Such
fun. I shall definitely search out an orchestra to play with regularly.
wax lyrical.......
anyway playing in an orchestra is the new best thing ever!
